Jaitley was born in Kabul, Afghanistan to a Punjabi Indian father and Afghan mother. Her father, V.K. Jaitley,is a retired Indian Army colonel, and her mother, Meeta, was a nurse in the Indian army, as well as an Afghan beauty queen.She has one brother, who is serving in the Indian army.
